On April 14, Nguyen Thuy Linh received good news when she increased 2 places in the world rankings. The Badminton World Federation - BWF announced the latest rankings and Thuy Linh rose to 24th place.
In the last 3 weeks, Thuy Linh has not increased in rank on the BWF rankings.
She just competed and entered the 2nd round of the women's singles at the 2026 Asian Championship in China. This is one of the results that helped Thuy Linh accumulate more points in the BWF rankings.
Thuy Linh has returned home after the 2026 Asian Championships and is training at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports. She will go to Malaysia to compete in mid-May.
Also on the world rankings announced by BWF, player Nguyen Hai Dang increased 8 places. Hai Dang's current position is 54.
Hai Dang also competed in the 2026 Asian Championship in China but did not pass the first round of the men's singles. Currently, Hai Dang does not train in Bac Ninh but returns to Ho Chi Minh City to practice professionally according to the program of the managing unit. The player only participates with the Vietnam Badminton Team in specific tournaments this year.
Notably, player Le Duc Phat, who has not played successfully recently, has dropped 4 places and is currently ranked 111st in the world. Duc Phat was not awarded a ticket to participate in the 2026 Asian Championship.
