At the end of September, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy went to Japan to play for Gunma Green Wings. The Japanese Women's Volleyball Championship will start on October 10. The SEA Games is not part of the world program, so international teams have the right to keep players from returning to the country to compete.
However, the task of the SEA Games for Vietnamese women's volleyball is very important, so the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, player Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and the Gunma Green Wings team worked to have a specific schedule to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
The 33rd SEA Games volleyball will compete in the indoor event (men's and women's) in Bangkok (Thailand). The women's volleyball competition is scheduled to take place from December 10 to December 15.
The men's volleyball competition program is from December 13 to December 19. Currently, the Organizing Committee has not announced the number of teams participating in the indoor event (men's and women's) at the 33rd SEA Games.
