After two opening matches in the Japan Volleyball Championship (SV.League), Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has excellently entered the top scorers of the tournament, affirming her impressive form in the Gunma Green Wings club shirt.
In the opening match against Queenseis Kariya, Thanh Thuy was given the opportunity to play as a factory worker and shined with 17 points, contributing significantly to Gunma Green Wings' 3-1 victory.
A day later, in the rematch against the opponent, although Gunma Green Wings lost 1-3, Thanh Thuy was still the most outstanding hitter on Gunma's side with 20 points scored.
According to statistics from the SV.League organizing committee, Thanh Thuy scored a total of 37 points, including 35 attack points, 1 blocker point and 1 direct serve point.
This achievement helped Thanh Thuy enter the top 10 athletes with the most points after 2 rounds, ranked 7th. This achievement shows the talent of the Vietnamese striker, when compared to many other quality foreign players playing in Japan. Leading the rankings is Mckenzie May ( Astemo Rivale Ibaraki) with 51 points.
Currently, Gunma Green Wings club is temporarily ranked 8/14 teams. In the next match on October 18, Thanh Thuy's team will face NEC Red Rockets - champion for two consecutive seasons (2022-2023 and 2023-2024), possessing a superior and quality force.
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy continues to be Gunma's biggest hope in attack.
