On January 7, the Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee signed a Decision to award a Certificate of Merit and a reward of 550 million VND (of which 500,000,000 VND is from socialized funding and 50,000,000 VND according to Resolution No. 24/2024/NQ-HDND dated December 6, 2024 of the City People's Council) to athlete Nguyen Dinh Trieu.
At the program, Mr. Le Tien Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation - met, presented a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee and awarded 550 million VND to athlete Nguyen Dinh Trieu - the best goalkeeper of the ASEAN Cup 2024 tournament.
Goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu was born in 1991 and is the goalkeeper of Hai Phong Football Club in 2022. Nguyen Dinh Trieu joined the Vietnam national football team and debuted in a friendly match with Palestine in September 2023. Participating in the AFF Cup 2024, Dinh Trieu played in 6/7 official matches, contributing many saves for the home team in 2 semi-final matches with Singapore and 2 final matches with Thailand, helping the Vietnam team excellently win the championship with 7 unbeaten matches.
