On the evening of July 27, U23 Vietnam had a practice session at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Indonesia), ready for the final match of the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship with the host team U23 Indonesia.
Responding to the media before the training session, striker Nguyen Dinh Bac expressed his confidence when he and his teammates entered the match that was predicted to be under a lot of pressure. He shared: "The final match is important. I feel that the team is well prepared and in a relaxed spirit. Personally, I am gradually regaining my form. If I get to play, I will try my best for the color of the flag. Regarding finishing, the whole team will try to improve in the remaining two training sessions. We have missed many opportunities before".
Evaluating the home team, the striker from Nghe An said: "U23 Indonesia is a strong opponent, playing very well. We have seen and analyzed to have a suitable response plan. They have many quality players, but the whole team will play with passion and determination to win".
A notable point in this final match is the possibility of VAR being applied. Dinh Bac believes that this is a positive factor that helps the match be managed fairly and transparently: "When there is VAR, fairness will be for both teams. We will try to show our best form."
The final match takes place at 8:00 p.m. on July 29, it is expected that tens of thousands of home fans will fill the Gelora Bung Karno stands. However, Dinh Bac does not consider it an obstacle: "Most of us have played at large-capacity courses, including this course in the U19 tournament before. The whole team is very determined and will focus on their expertise to bring victory to Vietnam".
