The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has won two matches at the AVC Nations Cup 2025. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team have two days off, before entering the third round of the group stage.
After two matches, the Vietnam women's volleyball team is showing positive changes in the way of organizing the playing style and personnel. Head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet affirmed that the team is gradually perfecting the tactical framework towards a further goal.
The 3-0 victory over Taiwan (China) in the second match not only brought important points but also brought many impressions in terms of expertise. The opponent is considered to have a fast and annoying playing style, while the Vietnamese team maintained an overwhelming game and stability at key moments.
"This is a very good result. For many years, Taiwan (China) has always played fast and it is not easy for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to win by such a large margin. They did their best," head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared after the match.

According to Mr. Kiet, the biggest bright spot that the team has achieved in the last two matches is the ability to control the first step that has improved significantly, creating a foundation for more effective attacking play. However, he also pointed out the weaknesses in the back defense, especially in some key positions.
The coach born in 1976 said: "The two main middle blockers, Nguyen Trinh and Le Thanh Thuy, have only reached about 50'60% of their potential. In particular, Trinh suffered a minor knee injury and has not yet reached her peak form.
Bich Tuyen and Nguyen Thi Uyen took the first step very well but were still weak in defense in the back. Both of them still have a lot of potential and time to overcome, looking forward to future tournaments.
The coaching staff has now recognized the weaknesses in each position and is making flexible tactical adjustments to maximize the abilities of each individual. During the two days off, we helped them regain their confidence, continuing to create opportunities for other athletes to compete more".

In the first two matches at the AVC Nations Cup 2025, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet boldly experimented with personnel, creating conditions for the players to take the field. Combining many different teams through each match is a necessary step to effectively evaluate each tactical plan.
"The coaching staff has determined that depending on each match, they will compete with many different teams to visualize the pieces. In the match against Taiwan (China), the main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and the middle blocker Le Thanh Thuy combined and had many good tactical pieces in positions 3 and 4. This is a positive signal," coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet emphasized.
rotating the formation and testing tactics not only helps players get used to the rhythm of the competition but also creates healthy competition in the formation. When the positions are gradually shaped and the tactics are concretized, fans can completely expect a new, more courageous look for the Vietnam women's volleyball team in the coming time.
