Ho Chi Minh City - On the evening of January 19, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vo Trong Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, said that 6 LED screens will be installed to serve the U23 cheering.

According to Mr. Vo Trong Nam, the plan to install LED screens has been submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee after the Ho Chi Minh City Football Joint Stock Company made an official proposal.

Mr. Nam added that if this is approved, the Department of Culture and Sports will urgently carry out assembly work immediately to serve the needs of a large number of people and tourists to watch and cheer in the context of U23 Vietnam playing impressively.

When reporters asked more about the assembly being difficult due to the urgent time, Mr. Nam said that all plans have been detailed and the Department will try to complete them as soon as possible.

Regarding security work, especially arranging parking and protecting people when watching the semi-finals on the evening of January 20th in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nam said that he had worked with the police and planned to maintain security and order, helping people watch football comfortably and preventing unfortunate incidents from happening.

According to the plan, each LED screen is about 7 m high, 12 m wide, arranged along Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, the section from Ton Duc Thang intersection to Le Loi intersection. All installation costs are sponsored by the enterprise.

The screens will serve fans watching the semi-final match on January 20, the third-place match on January 23 and the final match on January 24, with broadcast time from 8:30 PM until the end of each match.

Previously, the model of installing a centralized LED football screen at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street was successfully applied in the SEA Games 33 men's football final between Vietnam and Thailand in December 2025, attracting tens of thousands of fans to watch and cheer, creating a vibrant, safe and civilized atmosphere.

In terms of expertise, U23 Vietnam is aiming for high achievements at the 2026 AFC U23 Championship held in Saudi Arabia. The U23 Vietnam team has passed the group stage with a total victory in all three matches.
