On May 27 local time, Trinh Thu Vinh competed in the 25m pistol shooting competition at the 2026 World Cup (ISSF World Cup 2026).
After the qualifying round, Trinh Thu Vinh achieved 584 points to rank 8th and win the right to enter the final of the event.
In the final shot, Trinh Thu Vinh focused on competing but she still had to stop early when she only achieved 13 points. Thu Vinh is ranked 6th overall in the event at the 2026 World Cup. The champion of the event is Indian shooter Singh Esha with 43 points in the final. This is identified as a new world record.
The women's 25m sports pistol event in Germany this time also had shooter Nguyen Thuy Trang participating but only ranked 21st with 580 points in the qualifying round. Shooter Nguyen Thuy Dung of the Vietnamese shooting team has 575 points, ranking 41st.
On the previous day, shooter Pham Quang Huy competed in the men's 10m air pistol event but only achieved 583 points, did not have a final spot and ranked 11th.
The Vietnamese shooting team registered 15 shooters to compete in the 2026 World Cup in Munich (Germany).
