In round 20 of V.League 2025-2026, the Organizing Committee continues to invite foreign referees to officiate some notable matches to improve professional quality and ensure fairness in the key stage of the season.
Accordingly, the match between Dong A Thanh Hoa and PVF-CAND taking place at 6:00 PM on April 25 will be officiated by FIFA referee Razlan Joffri Bin Ali (born in 1985). This season, this referee has officiated the match between Hanoi Police and Ninh Binh in round 12.
Meanwhile, the match between Da Nang and The Cong Viettel taking place at 6:00 PM on April 26 will be officiated by FIFA referee from Malaysia Mohamad Nawal Bin Mohammad Zubir (born in 1995). This is the first time this "black-clad king" has performed his duties in the Vietnamese professional football system.
The continued use of foreign referees in important matches shows the efforts of the Organizing Committee of the tournament and the Vietnam Football Federation Refereeing Board in improving the quality of match officiating, especially when the season enters a period of fierce competition in both the top and bottom group.
Previously, after 19 rounds of this season, there were 4 matches officiated by foreign referees, including the matches Cong An Hanoi vs Ninh Binh (round 12), The Cong Viettel vs Hanoi FC (round 14), Hanoi FC vs Cong An Hanoi (round 15) and Ninh Binh vs Cong An Hanoi (round 16).
According to the Organizing Committee, based on the actual professional developments at each time of the season, inviting foreign referees will continue to be considered and proposed for key matches in the decisive stage. This is considered one of the solutions to contribute to ensuring objectivity, transparency and enhancing the prestige of the tournament.
