General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation - Mr. Le Tri Truong said that professional units are actively finding suitable training locations in Japan for the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and 13 players completed the first phase of training in 2025 after returning home from the 2025 World Championship.
Each member has returned to their home team. The Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is expected to gather for the second phase in October, when the 2025 National Volleyball Championship closes.
However, choosing training locations in Japan for the team is not currently favorable. The Vietnam Volleyball Federation has not found a suitable training location.
Therefore, this work is being promoted for rapid implementation. In case we cannot find a training location in Japan, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation can find another country to train the women's team.
In the first phase, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet gathered 20 players of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team in Quang Ninh. After that, the team will practice at locations such as Dong Anh (Hanoi), Vinh Phuc (Phu Tho), Tam Dao (Phu Tho) to suit the competition's expertise. Before going to Thailand to participate in the 2025 World Championship, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team gathered in Tam Dao (Phu Tho) and played friendly matches with Spain and Kenya in Dong Anh (Hanoi).
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet once shared that he and the coaching staff hope that the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team will have suitable training points abroad to continue to improve their skills.
During the second training period, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team will not participate in any tournament because the 33rd SEA Games is about to take place. The coaching staff of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team will decide on the coaching list based on the performance of the players at the 2025 National Championship (played in October in Ninh Binh).
