Talking with Lao Dong, head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is confidently preparing professionally with an excited spirit to compete in the second phase of the 2025 SEA V.League at home.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said: Our players present in Ninh Binh have been practicing urgently to maintain the pace and be ready to compete in the second stage at home. Currently, the whole team is confident to compete.
On August 7, representatives of the teams held a professional meeting before the second phase of the 2025 SEA V.League. Basically, the four teams of Thailand (reigning champions of the first phase), Vietnam (host), the Philippines and Indonesia did not change much of their forces compared to the previous phase.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet affirmed that the goal of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is to win the number one position in the second phase of the 2025 SEA V.League. After the first stage, the captains of the female hitters carefully analyzed each opponent so that their students could learn from experience to compete professionally more effectively.
Our 14 players are determined to achieve the best results but are very cautious in each match, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet added.
Last year, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team held the runner-up position in both stages of the 2024 SEA V.League. This year, we have had the first runner-up position in the competition in Thailand.
The second phase of the 2025 SEA V.League takes place from August 8 to August 10. The four teams will continue to compete in a round-robin to select the overall champion. Currently, the chance to win the number one position is divided equally among each team.
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd phase of the 2025 SEA V.League in Ninh Binh said that the facilities and gymnasium for the tournament are ready. The volleyball federation has installed a Video Challenge Eyes system to support the referee in running the tournament.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has registered 14 players to compete in the second phase of the 2025 SEA V.League, including: Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Luu Thi Ly Ly Ly, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh, Pham Thi Hien, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Doan Thi Lam Oanh.
After competing in Ninh Binh, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team will have a practice match with the Kenyan women's team and the Spanish women's team in Hanoi, then go to Thailand to participate in the 2025 World Championship. At the end of the 2025 World Championship, we have completed the training of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team in the first phase of this year.
