On the morning of August 5, members of the Vietnam U21 Women's Volleyball Team traveled from Hanoi to Jakarta (Indonesia). However, the players had to wait for the next flight to get to Surabaya city.
The 2025 U21 World Youth Championship will take place in Surabaya city.
According to the schedule, the Vietnam U21 Volleyball Team will have a practice session on August 6 to get acquainted with the local climate and the gymnasium before officially competing on August 7. We will meet the host team U21 Indonesia in the first match on the evening of August 7.
Before going to Indonesia, the coaching staff of the Vietnam U21 Women's Volleyball Team grasped the preliminary travel schedule, so they prepared the players in advance to help them feel secure.
Coach Nguyen Trong Linh has registered 12 players to compete, including Lai Khanh Huyen, Ngo Thi Bich Hue, Nguyen Phuong Quynh, Dang Thi Hong, Le Nhu Anh, Nguyen Lan Vy, Nguyen Van Ha, Pham Quynh Huong, Pham Thuy Linh, Le Thuy Linh, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Ha Kieu Vy.
The 2025 U21 World Youth Championship will organize four groups of qualifiers. Group A includes Indonesia (host), Argentina, Serbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, Vietnam. Group B includes China, the US, Mexico, Dominican Republic, South Korea, Croatia. Group C includes Italy, Turkey, Egypt, Poland, Algeria, Czech Republic. Group D includes Brazil, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, Chile, Bulgaria.
The teams will compete in a round-robin in their groups to find the four best representatives to the knockout round. The knockout round has 16 teams competing for tickets to the quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals.
In addition, the losing teams will meet in each branch to determine the final rankings. This year's tournament will be competed from August 7 to August 17.
