On the men's 3,000m obstacle course final, athlete Nguyen Trung Cuong excellently finished first to win a gold medal with a time of 9 minutes 09 seconds 08.
Trung Cuong won against the pursuit of athlete Junel Gobotia (Philippines) right behind. The Philippine male athlete won a silver medal with a time of 9 minutes 15 seconds 39.
Previously, the Vietnamese athletics team witnessed athlete Luong Duc Phuoc finish 3rd in the men's 1,500m final and win a bronze medal.
Luong Duc Phuoc's performance is 3 minutes 50 seconds 66.
In the women's 1,500m final, athlete Bui Thi Ngan of the Vietnam Athletics Team also won a bronze medal. She finished with a time of 4 minutes 25 seconds 79.
2 years ago, Bui Thi Ngan competed in the 2024 Taiwan International Athletics Championships (China) and won a gold medal with a time of 4 minutes 21 seconds 68.
In addition, on the competition day, we had players Huynh Thi My Tien, Nguyen Thi Linh participating in the women's 100m hurdles qualifying round but were unsuccessful, so we lost the opportunity to participate in the final. Player Ngan Ngoc Nghia also did not pass the men's 100m qualifying round.
