In the decisive match against Tan Hiep Hung TPHCM, Trong Kien scored in the 38th minute, contributing to the 6-0 victory to help Thai Son Bac win the championship for the first time.
Another notable newcomer is Nguyen Nhan Nam of Thai Son Bac. In addition to the national championship, this player also contributed to helping Thai Son Bac U20 team win the 2025 National U20 Futsal Championship. Nguyen Nhan Nam is highly appreciated for his personal technique, ball handling ability and effective finishing.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thanh Tam (Saigon Titans) was also called up to the national team for the first time after his outstanding performance last season. Playing in the ala position, this young player impressed with his speed, dynamism and ability to create breakthroughs.
The 2026 Thailand Continental Championship friendly tournament takes place from August 1 to 6 at Nonthaburi Gymnasium (Thailand), with the participation of 5 teams including Thailand, Russia, Afghanistan, New Zealand and Vietnam. The teams compete in a single round-robin format to determine the overall ranking.
According to the schedule, the Vietnam futsal team will successively meet Russia at 6:00 PM on August 1st, New Zealand at 6:00 PM on August 2nd, Afghanistan at 8:30 PM on August 3rd and host Thailand at 8:30 PM on August 5th.
The tournament is considered an important warm-up step for coach Diego Raul Giustozzi to assess the force, test personnel options and complete the squad before the next international tasks of the Vietnamese futsal team.
