The 2026 Southeast Asian Jujitsu Championship will close with the final events on August 23rd at the competition venue in Cambodia.
After 2 days of competition before that, the Vietnamese jujitsu martial artist won 75 gold medals, 66 silver medals and 68 bronze medals to maintain the No. 1 position on the overall achievement table.
Vietnamese jujitsu martial artists strive to compete and achieve results that are in line with their professional form that they have prepared in the past time," head coach Bui Dinh Tien expressed.
On the penultimate day of the tournament (August 22), Vietnamese jujitsu fighters won overwhelmingly in many weight classes for men's and women's Fighting competitions.
The gold medals come from the fighting achievements of martial artists Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc (over 70kg female), Hoang Thi Nhat Que (70kg female), Le Lam Nhi (48kg female), Phung Thi Hue (45kg female), Phung Mui Nhinh (52kg female), Ha Thi Anh Uyen (57kg female) and Le Duc Cuong (over 94kg male), Le Duy Thanh (94kg male), Nguyen Trien (85kg male), Nguyen Manh Huu (56kg male), Bui Duc Hieu (69kg male), Nguyen Huy An (77kg male).
The Vietnamese jujitsu team also won many gold medals in the youth group events of U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 and U21.
Temporarily we hold the No. 1 position in the overall standings. The second position is currently the Philippines team (18 gold medals, 16 silver medals, 23 bronze medals).
The Singapore team temporarily ranked 3rd (13 gold medals, 10 silver medals, 15 bronze medals).
