In Japan this time, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese karate team registered athletes to compete including: Nguyen Ngoc Tram, Bui Ngoc Nhi, Hoang Thi Thu Uyen, Giang Viet Anh, Pham Minh Duc, Pham Truong Giang, Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly, Chu Van Duc and Khuat Hai Nam.
At ASIAD 19 held in 2023 in China, Vietnamese karate athletes won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals.
The gold medal achievement of the Vietnamese karate team at ASIAD 19 is in the women's team kata (performance) event.
At ASIAD 20, we registered 3 martial artists to participate in the women's team kata event: Nguyen Ngoc Tram, Bui Ngoc Nhi, Hoang Thi Thu Uyen.
Currently, they are training in Japan to be ready to enter the ASIAD 20 competition.
