On the evening of December 12, U22 Indonesia defeated U22 Myanmar 3-1 but still could not win a place in the semi-finals of the 33rd SEA Games men's football tournament.

Entering the final match, U22 Indonesia and U22 Myanmar both had to win big to compete for the second place in the group with the best results. U22 Indonesia proactively pushed up the formation, taking advantage of strong throw-ins to create pressure. However, U22 Myanmar played solidly and surprisingly took the lead in the 30th minute after Min Maw Oo's beautiful long-range shot.

U22 Indonesia equalized right before the break when the Myanmar goalkeeper made a mistake, creating conditions for Tony to finish close to the goal. In the U22 Indonesia half, continue to maintain pressure with high ball situations. Their efforts were rewarded with 2 late goals in the 89th and 90+6th minutes scored by Jens Raven.

Despite the 3-1 victory, U22 Indonesia was still eliminated after scoring only 3 goals in the group stage, one goal less than U22 Malaysia. This result caused the team from the archipelago to miss the SEA Games semi-finals and no longer have the opportunity to defend the gold medal they won in Cambodia 2 years ago.

The four teams that won tickets to the next round are U22 Vietnam, U22 Thailand, U22 Philippines and U22 Malaysia. In the semi-finals, U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Philippines, while U22 Thailand will face U22 Malaysia.
