The sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City has northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas; wave height 2.5 - 3.5m.
At noon and afternoon of December 13, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have northeast winds of level 7 - 8, gusting to level 9 - 10, rough seas; wave height 4 - 6m, northeast direction. The Gulf of Tonkin has northeast winds of level 7, sometimes level 8, gusting to level 9, rough seas; wave height of 2 - 4m.
From the evening of December 13, the sea area from South Quang Tri to Ca Mau, the central East Sea area, the western sea area of the South East Sea (including the western sea area of Truong Sa) will have northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas; wave height 3 - 5m.
In addition, on the night of December 12 and December 13, the South China Sea (including the sea area of Truong Sa) and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6 - 7.
On the night of December 13 and December 14, in the Gulf of Tonkin, there will be strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas, waves 2 - 4m high; from December 14, the wind intensity will gradually decrease.
The North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has strong northeast winds of level 7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, waves 4-6m high. The sea area from South Quang Tri to Ca Mau, the area between the East Sea and the western sea area of the South East Sea (including the western sea area of Truong Sa) will have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas; waves 3 - 5m high.
The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
