Although there is still not enough force, the training atmosphere of the whole team still takes place with concentration and a positive spirit.
Among the players who have just played in the 2024-2025 National Cup final, only striker Nguyen Dinh Bac (Hanoi Police) will travel to Ba Ria - Vung Tau on June 30. However, this striker did not have time to play with his teammates in the afternoon training session of the same day.

This is the 4th consecutive training session of U22 Vietnam in preparation for the upcoming regional tournament. According to coach Kim Sang-sik's training plan, the players focus on practicing the physical foundation, while continuing to improve the playing style and operate tactical diagrams.
The Korean strategist also took advantage of his time to convey professional requirements, helping the whole team gradually improve both defense and attack.
In an interview with the press before the training session, rookie Nguyen Ngoc My shared: "The training is still going on normally, everything is according to plan and is not affected much by the absence of some players. The recent training sessions mainly help accumulate physical strength, get acquainted with new diagrams, tactics and exercises. I am also gradually adapting to the team's operation in attack and defense.
In the immediate future, the whole team needs to make every effort to achieve the best results in the group stage. Every player tries to adapt quickly to the new environment, and the pressure is not thought about, currently the whole team is only focusing on the goal ahead".

According to the plan, U22 Vietnam will have 2 internal practice matches with U23 Taiwan (China) on July 2 and 4 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. In order to serve the professional work of the two teams, both matches will take place on the field without spectators and no professional media. These are considered important " footprints" to help the coaching staff check the force and evaluate the preparation of the whole team before entering the journey to defend the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship.
It is expected that after two practice matches, coach Kim Sang-sik will reduce the team list for the first time to about 26 players.
