Last year, the Ha Tinh Provincial Sports Center was the venue for the 2025 Asian pencak silat Championship.
Following the success of the tournament, this year host Vietnam will host the 2026 Asian pencak silat Championship from July 15 to July 23.
The competition program of this year's tournament takes place at the Dong Nai City Sports and Physical Training Center.
It is expected that the tournament will continue to attract a large number of coaches and pencak silat athletes from the continent to participate in the competition.
The 2026 Asian pencak silat Championship will include 13 men's sparring events, from under 45kg to over 110kg weight classes. For women, the competition program has 11 weight classes, from under 45kg to over 100kg.
With performance content, this year's tournament will compete in content for individuals, doubles, team and creative individuals, male and female.
The Vietnamese pencak silat team will send the best force to compete in the tournament and set a goal to strive to protect the No. 1 position in terms of medal achievements.
Last year, the Vietnamese pencak silat team fighter won 17 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 7 bronze medals and held first place at the 2025 Asian Championships.
pencak silat is not on the ASIAD 20 program.
Therefore, the 2026 Asian Championship is an important international competition program for Vietnamese pencak silat team athletes to focus on achieving the best results.
It is expected that on July 16, the teams will hold technical meetings to draw lots for competition, then officially compete from July 17.
