Vietnam will receive the right to host the 2026 Asian pencak silat Championship in July in Dong Nai. The Asian pencak silat Federation has preliminarily agreed on the organization plans with host Vietnam to develop the official competition program.
According to the plan, the tournament is expected to take place from July 15 to July 23 and attract a large number of pencak silat martial artists from Asia to participate.
This is the 2nd consecutive time that Vietnam has hosted the pencak silat Championship in a short time. Last year, Vietnam hosted the 2025 Asian pencak silat Championship in Ha Tinh.
The Asian pencak silat Federation has highly appreciated Vietnam's organization at this year's tournament, thereby continuing to trust and give opportunities for the tournament to take place in our country this year.
Before the 2026 Asian pencak silat Championship takes place, the professional department of the Asian pencak silat Federation and the Vietnam Sports Administration will thoroughly inspect the facilities in Dong Nai.
In last year's tournament, the Organizing Committee competed in 32 events for male and female sparring and performance. The Vietnamese pencak silat team ranked first overall with 17 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 7 bronze medals.
This year, the Vietnamese pencak silat team does not have the ASIAD 20 mission. However, the 2026 Asian pencak silat Championship held at home is identified as a key goal for the martial artist to focus on winning the highest results.
