Taekwondo athlete Bac Thi Khiem once won a gold medal in the 67kg weight class at the 2024 Asian Championships. The Asian Championships take place every 2 years.

The entire tournament had 11 teams winning medals. Teams from Southeast Asia that won sparring medals this year are Thailand (1 silver medal), Philippines (1 bronze medal).
