On behalf of VFF and the tournament organizing committee, Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Trang - Deputy General Secretary of VFF, Head of the tournament organizing committee - thanked local agencies and units for creating conditions for the tournament to take place on schedule; and acknowledged the coordination of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation and Thanh Long Sports Center in hosting the final round, as well as the companionship of partners and sponsors.

This year's final round takes place from April 1st to April 14th, at Thanh Long Sports Center (HCMC), gathering 12 teams that passed the qualifying round. The matches promise to bring fierce competition right from the group stage.
In order to bring the image of the tournament closer to fans nationwide, VFF cooperates with Vietnam Cable Television Corporation (VTVCab) to produce and broadcast matches on VTVCab television system and VFF's social networking platforms.

Right after the opening ceremony, the first two matches of Group A took place excitingly.
In the opening match, U15 TPHCM, despite leading 2-0, still let U15 Tay Ninh come back to win 4-3 dramatically. Cao Thanh Danh opened the score for the home team with a beautiful long-range shot before Nguyen Hung doubled the gap in the first half.
However, in the second half, U15 Tay Ninh played determinedly and successively scored 4 goals to complete the comeback, including the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 90+4 minute of injury time.

In the remaining match of Group A, U15 Song Lam Nghe An I won 2-1 against U15 Ninh Binh, thereby having a favorable start in the final round.
