The BWF world badminton rankings have just announced the new position list on June 23rd and Vu Thi Trang is the Vietnamese player who has increased the ranks the most.
Vu Thi Trang has increased 9 places, to 99th place in the world. Meanwhile, Nguyen Thuy Linh remained at 25th place in the world while Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen increased 1 place to have 295th place in women's singles.
Vu Thi Trang just finished the International Future Series 2026 Badminton Tournament in the Czech Republic with the women's singles championship.
She reached the final and defeated player Nurani Ratu Azzahra (UAE) with a score of 2-1 (21-19, 15-21, 21-16). Vu Thi Trang won the international tournament after half a year. At the end of last year, she won the Vietnam International Series 2025 tournament held in Bac Giang and Ninh Binh respectively.
Vu Thi Trang has been awarded a ticket by the BWF to participate in the 2026 World Championships. This player will compete with Nguyen Thuy Linh in the women's singles event in the tournament held in August in India.
Currently, Vu Thi Trang is the female badminton player with the most significant international results in Vietnamese badminton. Last year, she and young player Bui Bich Phuong won a bronze medal in the women's doubles event at SEA Games 33.
