On September 23, shooter Nguyen Thuy Trang won a women's 10m air pistol team medal (competing with Thu Vinh, Thu Thuy) and ranked 6th individual in women's 10m air pistol shooting at ASIAD 20.
However, she and her teammates will continue to participate in the women's 25m sports pistol event on September 27 and 28.
The content is expected to compete in 2 qualifying rounds with rounds for rapid and slow-fire shooting.
The final event will take place in the afternoon of September 28.
At ASIAD 19, Nguyen Thuy Trang was ranked 17th in the qualifying round of the women's 25m sports pistol shooting event with a result of 577 points.
However, she won a silver individual medal in this event at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand last year.
Earlier this year, at the 2026 Asian Championships (for pistols and rifles) held in India, Nguyen Thuy Trang won a gold medal in the individual 25m sports pistol event.
Last June, Nguyen Thuy Trang won a silver medal in the women's 25m sports pistol event at the 2026 Southeast Asian Championships held in Taiwan (China).
Currently, Nguyen Thuy Trang is one of the female shooters who maintains stable performance in the women's 25m sports pistol shooting event.
Therefore, Thuy Trang is expected to be able to change the color of the medal at ASIAD 20 in this event.
Before ASIAD 20, Thuy Trang and the shot put shooters were trained in Korea.
