At the end of April, VTV Binh Dien Long An won the runner-up position in the Asian tournament - AVC Champions League 2025. This achievement helped the Vietnamese representative get a ticket to the FIVB Women's Volleyball Club World Championship 2025.
According to the schedule of previous years, the tournament is usually held in December. Most likely, this year's Women's Club World Championship will take place from December 8 to 20.
Currently, VTV Binh Dien Long An has identified the first 6 opponents in this tournament from Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
Accordingly, the European representatives are the defending champion Imoco and the runner-up Scandicci, both Italian teams. Meanwhile, the Americas have the participation of Praia (Brazil) and Alianza Lima (Peru).
In Asia, in addition to VTV Binh Dien Long An, there is another representative of Kazakhstan volleyball - Zhetysu. In addition, Africa only has one team participating in the world tournament, Zamalek (Egypt).
Thus, up to now, FIVB Women's Volleyball Club World Championship 2025 has identified 7/8 participating teams, the remaining spot belongs to the host team, expected to announce in September.
This is the third consecutive year that Vietnamese women's volleyball has had a representative to the world tournament. In 2023, the Vietnam women's volleyball team will participate in the tournament called Sport Center 1. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team stopped in the group stage.
In 2024, LPB Ninh Binh will participate in the world tournament after winning the runner-up position in the 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship.
