According to information on the morning of March 14 from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the face of the sharp increase in world gasoline and oil prices due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance decided to maintain the retail price of gasoline and oil and the level of expenditure of the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund according to the operating period on March 12, 2026, in order to contribute to stabilizing the market and limiting impact on socio-economics. Accordingly, gasoline and oil prices remain unchanged as follows:
- E5RON92 gasoline: not higher than 22,504 VND/liter, lower than RON95-III gasoline by 3,071 VND/liter;
- RON95-III gasoline: not higher than 25,575 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil 0.05S: not higher than 27,025 VND/liter;
- Kerosene: not higher than 26,932 VND/liter;
- 180CST 3.5S mazut oil: not higher than 18,661 VND/kg.
According to information from the Domestic Market Management and Development Department, statistics of recent unusual operating periods for two popular consumer goods show that the base price of RON95 gasoline has had 3 consecutive increases on March 5, 7 and 10, 2026, with increases of 10.86%, 21.07% and 22.45% respectively. The base price of diesel oil also increased in all 3 periods, corresponding to 19.49%, 31.26% and 18.12%.
