According to a survey at 00:05 on January 29, world oil prices simultaneously increased. WTI crude oil price increased by 0.47 USD/barrel (up 0.75%), to 62.86 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.40 USD/barrel (up 0.60%), to 66.99 USD/barrel.
In the price regulation period last week, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world gasoline and oil market in this regulation period (from January 15, 2026 - January 21, 2026) is affected by key factors such as: Risk of disruption of oil supply from Iran; slow oil export progress of Venezuela; disruption of oil exploitation activities of Kazakhstan; tensions between the United States and Europe on the Greenland issue; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues... The above factors have caused world gasoline and oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each item.
For the domestic market, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Institute (VPI) forecasts that in the operating period on January 29, 2026, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase by 0.5-5.1% compared to the previous operating period, if the Inter-Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade does not allocate or use the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund.
According to Mr. Doan Tien Quyet, data analysis expert of VPI, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 91 VND (0.5%) to 18,371 VND/liter and RON 95-III gasoline increased by 261 VND (1.4%) to 18,891 VND/liter. The price of kerosene may increase by 278 VND (1.5%) to 18,228 VND/liter, the price of diesel oil may increase by 478 VND (2.7%) to 18,178 VND/liter, while mazut oil is forecast to increase sharply by 707 VND (5.1%) to 14,577 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, a representative of a gasoline and oil business forecast that the price of RON 95-III gasoline will increase by about 140 VND/liter; E5 RON 92-II gasoline will decrease by about 10 VND/liter; Diesel oil will increase by about 400 VND/liter.
In the adjustment session last week (January 22, 2026), gasoline prices simultaneously decreased compared to the previous week's price adjustment period. In which, E5 RON 92 gasoline has a price of 18,283 VND/liter (down 93 VND/liter). RON 95-III gasoline has a price of 18,631 VND/liter (down 81 VND/liter).
Prices of oil products simultaneously increased. Diesel 0.05S priced at 17,700 VND/liter (up 413 VND/liter); kerosene had a new price of 17,950 VND/liter (up 253 VND/liter); mazut oil 180CST 3.5S priced up 471 VND/kg).
