World coffee prices
On the London Stock Exchange, Robusta coffee prices plummeted throughout all terms. The July 2025 delivery period ended at 5,052 USD/ton, down 174 USD/ton compared to the previous session. The terms of September, November and January 2026 all lost from 161 - 168 USD/ton, equivalent to about 3.2 - 3.3%.
Similarly, on the New York Stock Exchange, arabica coffee prices fell sharply. The July 2025 delivery term lost up to 14.80 cents, down 372.95 cents/lb (down 3.82%). Subsequent terms also lost over 13 cents per pond, recording the biggest decline in two weeks.
Assessment
Domestic coffee prices decreased for the third consecutive session and recorded the deepest adjustment in May, closely following the decline of the international coffee market.
Pressure from supply is forecast to improve as the Robusta harvest in Brazil and Indonesia begins to push output to the market. At the same time, the weather in Brazil's arabica growing areas has improved, easing concerns about climate risks that supported strong price increases in April.
The market is also affected by concerns about slowing consumer demand in the US and Europe, as roasters tend to delay purchases at high prices. In addition, the weakening of the Brazilian real in recent days has caused farmers in this country to increase sales, further creating downward pressure on world coffee prices.
