Domestic coffee prices
On the afternoon of July 15, coffee prices in the provinces increased sharply again after many sessions of decline. In Dak Nong (now merged into Lam Dong), coffee is purchased at the highest price of VND 94,700/kg, an increase of VND 6,200 compared to the trading session on July 12.
In Dak Lak and Gia Lai, coffee prices currently fluctuate around 94,600 - 94,400 VND/kg. Some communes in Lam Dong (old) have the lowest price - also recorded 94,200 VND/kg.
Thus, after only one trading session, domestic coffee prices have recovered from below VND 89,000/kg to nearly VND 95,000/kg, equivalent to an increase of about VND 6,000 - 6,400/kg.
World coffee prices
On the London Stock Exchange, Robusta futures for September increased sharply by 303 USD, to 3,519 USD/ton. Longer terms also increased by around 270 USD/ton, showing a strong recovery after falling sharply last week.
Similarly, Arabica trading prices on the New York exchange increased significantly. September term closed at 301.85 cents/lb, up 15.35 cents. Other terms such as December 2025 and March 2026 increased by 14.40 cents and 13.45 cents/lb, respectively.
The strong increase on both exchanges shows that buying power is overwhelming again, pushing prices up after a series of downward adjustments.
