trend assessment
According to analysts, the slight increase in coffee prices is the result of a technical recovery after a series of sharp declines in the beginning of the month.
International markets are still monitoring factors such as Robusta inventories falling to a three-and-a-half-week low or concerns about drought in Brazil temporarily subsiding due to scattered rain in Minas Gerais. The US-China trade war has not shown any signs of cooling down, but the tariffs being negotiated are also a factor affecting the market.
Although there have been signs of recovery, world coffee prices still have potential risks due to speculative factors and many uncertainties in US tax policies. Farmers and businesses need to consider carefully in their short-term buying and selling and export decisions.
