In the Northern region, live pig prices increased slightly by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg in many localities. Ninh Binh alone increased by 3,000 VND/kg, to 72,000 VND/kg; this level was also recorded in Hanoi, Bac Ninh and Hung Yen. 5 provinces Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Lao Cai and Son La were at 70,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region. In the Central region, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh respectively reached 72,000 VND/kg, 71,000 VND/kg and 69,000 VND/kg. Lam Dong is the only locality to purchase live pigs at a price of 66,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.
The Southern region also recorded a slight increase. Dong Nai, Dong Thap and Ca Mau all recorded up to 1,000 VND/kg, reaching 67,000 VND/kg, 65,000 VND/kg and 64,000 VND/kg respectively. The remaining localities maintained stable prices.
