Domestic pepper prices: Unstable in all areas
As of 11:30 today (September 5), the domestic pepper market was suddenly unchanged, averaging 152,200 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 151,000 - 153,000 VND/kg.
After a series of price increases at high prices, the regions are currently listed at the following prices:
Gia Lai province is the area with the lowest price in the country, reaching 151,000 VND/kg.
Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City after a decrease of VND1,000 - 2,000/kg, the price stood at VND152,000/kg.
Maintaining at 153,000 VND/kg are the two provinces of Dak Lak and Lam Dong.
World pepper prices: Maintain the downward momentum
In the world market, pepper prices remain unchanged in most regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - maintained a decrease of 0.04% and 0.03%. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,093 - 10,051 USD/ton (equivalent to 188,036 VND/kg - 266,453 VND/kg).
The Brazilian market continued to be unstable, trading at 6,650 USD/ton (about 176,292 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper prices remained in the high price range, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices tend to be flat, standing at 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 242,567 VND/kg).
