Assessments and forecasts
After 4 months, from the first week of November 2025 when the average domestic pepper price was at 145,800 VND/kg, the price around the threshold of 145,000 VND/kg has returned.
This development shows that supply and demand are in a clear state of stalemate, as the main harvest season in the Central Highlands and Southeast enters its peak. The increase in new goods coming to the market creates adjustment pressure.
In the short term, pepper prices are likely to continue to fluctuate in the range of 145,000 - 150,000 VND/kg, depending on harvest progress, farmers' stockpiling psychology and fluctuations in world pepper prices.
