Domestic pepper prices: Market is quiet
As of 11:30 today (September 22), the domestic pepper market opened the first session of the week unchanged, averaging 148,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 147,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
The transaction price is stable, currently the listed areas are as follows:
The same mark of 147,000 VND/kg was set by Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces. This is also the lowest price in the country at the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City is at 149,000 VND/kg. Dak Lak and Lam Dong are trading at 150,000 VND/kg.
Compared to the price set in mid-July 2025 of 138,600 VND/kg, the domestic pepper purchase price increased to 11,400 VND/kg, reaching 150,000 VND/kg after two months.
World pepper prices: In the same direction
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in the regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets witnessed a series of consecutive declines, at 0.48% and 0.49%, respectively. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,027 - 9,957 USD/ton (equivalent to 185,830 VND/kg - 263,313 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market maintained a high price threshold, currently trading at 6,600 USD/ton (about 174,537 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper traded at high prices, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,617 VND/kg).
