Domestic pepper prices
Today (August 25), domestic pepper prices are still trading in the range of 136,000 - 138,50 VND/kg.
At the end of the recent trading session, Gia Lai, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City all anchored at the threshold of 136,000 VND/kg, unchanged compared to the first trading session of the week.
Following the same developments, Dak Lak maintained a price of 138,000 VND/kg.

World pepper price
In the world market, pepper prices temporarily stop adjusting in most countries. Indonesia's black and white peppers are no exception, trading in the range of 6,873 - 9,410 USD/ton (equivalent to 180,967 VND/kg - 247,766 VND/kg).
Similarly, the price of Brazilian black pepper sold to the market is 5,900 USD/ton (about 155. 347 VND/kg). However, black and white Malaysian pepper still maintain the same price range, trading at high prices, respectively 12,200 USD/ton and 9,300 USD/ton.
Notably, in Vietnam's pepper export market, black pepper prices of 500 g/l and 550 g/l are traded at 5,990 - 6,050 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 8,400 USD/ton (equivalent to 221,172 VND/kg).
Assessments and forecasts
Pepper prices in the domestic market tend to decrease slightly at the beginning of August. On August 19, 2026, the purchase price of pepper in most key growing areas decreased from 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg compared to July 19, 2026.
In the third week of August, fundamental factors are generally still positive. Strong buying activity, especially from China, along with relatively limited supply in growing areas and improved demand in major markets continue to support the pepper market in the short term.
In the international market, export pepper prices are stable at a high level when supply is not abundant, but market demand seems sensitive to prices, causing prices to fluctuate within a narrow range.
