Domestic pepper prices: Reversal to increase
As of 11:30 today (September 30), the domestic pepper market has turned to increase prices in different regions, an average increase of 600 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 137,000 - 138,000 VND/kg.
List the price at 137,000 VND/kg in Gia Lai province, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to previous days of stagnation.
Pepper prices in Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City simultaneously increased by VND 1,000/kg, announcing a price of VND 138,000/kg.
Meanwhile, Dak Lak and Lam Dong province remain unchanged at 138,000 VND/kg. These are the 2 provinces listing the highest domestic pepper prices in the country.
World pepper prices: Unexpected drop
In the world market, pepper prices have "turned around" and decreased in most regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the busiest markets continues to depreciate. Currently, these two items are trading in the range of 7,104 - 9,930 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,546 VND/kg - 262,152 VND/kg), both decreasing slightly by 0.35%.
Meanwhile, the market continues to maintain a stable state, the Brazilian exchange is currently at 5,900 USD/ton (about 155,760 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper remained at 11,750 USD/ton and 8,900 USD/ton.
Notably, in the Vietnamese pepper export market, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l has decreased sharply, currently anchored at 6,140 - 6,270 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices reached 8,850 USD/ton (equivalent to 233,640 VND/kg).
