Domestic pepper prices: Increasing in some areas
As of 11:30 today (September 3), the domestic pepper market increased slightly by 400 VND/kg, an average of 153,800 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 153,000 - 154,000 VND/kg.
After a series of simultaneous price increases of 1,000 VND/kg, the regions are currently listed at the following prices:
Gia Lai and Dong Nai provinces purchased pepper at 153,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous session's closing price.
Dak Lak maintains the price at 154,000 VND/kg.
Ho Chi Minh City and Lam Dong alone have an additional trading session of VND 1,000/kg, respectively announcing to the market prices of VND 154,000/kg and VND 155,000/kg.
World pepper prices: Maintain price zones
In the world market, pepper prices remain unchanged in all regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - also stood still. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,216 - 10,028 USD/ton (equivalent to 191,239 VND/kg - 265,763 VND/kg).
The Brazilian market continued to be unstable, trading at 6,400 USD/ton (about 169,613 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper prices remained in the high price range, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices tend to be flat, standing at 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 242,494 VND/kg).
