Domestic pepper prices: Ho Chi Minh City reduces prices
As of 11:30 am today (February 5th), domestic pepper prices remained unchanged, averaging 149,700 VND/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 148,500 - 151,000 VND/kg.
The areas do not have much fluctuation, except for Ho Chi Minh City recording a decrease of 500 VND/kg. Currently, the pepper price list for specific areas is as follows:
Dong Nai and Gia Lai are also anchored at the threshold of 149,000 VND/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong traded at the mark of 151,000 VND/kg.
Ho Chi Minh City alone slightly decreased to 148,500 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Stable
In the world market, pepper prices do not have much fluctuation. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. These two items are traded in the range of 6,740 - 9,274 USD/ton (equivalent to 176,454 VND/kg - 242,794 VND/kg).
Meanwhile, the Brazilian market maintained its upward momentum, trading at 6,150 USD/ton (about 161,007 VND/kg). Black and white peppers continued to remain unchanged, trading at 12,000 USD/ton and 9,000 USD/ton.
Notably, in Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black peppers of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is maintained at 6,400 - 6,600 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper price continues to be offered for sale at 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 239,547 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
According to a report from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Plant Association (VPSA), in January 2026, Vietnam exported a total of 21,743 tons of pepper of all kinds. Of which, black pepper reached 17,557 tons and white pepper reached 4,186 tons. Total export turnover reached 139.0 million USD.
Compared to the same period in January 2025, export volume increased sharply by 66.2%. However, compared to December 2025, this volume decreased slightly by 3.2%. In terms of value, the average export price of black pepper in January 2026 reached 6,494 USD/ton, stable compared to the previous month; the price of white pepper reached 8,450 USD/ton, down 115 USD/ton.
