World pepper prices: Slight increase
In the world market, pepper prices have little fluctuation. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most active markets - reversed and rebounded. These two items are traded in the range of 6,740 - 9,274 USD/ton (equivalent to 176,454 VND/kg - 242,794 VND/kg), increasing by 8 USD/ton and 11 USD/ton respectively.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian market maintained its upward momentum, trading at 6,150 USD/ton (about 161,077 VND/kg). Black and white peppers continued to remain unchanged, trading at 12,000 USD/ton and 9,000 USD/ton.
Notably, in Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black peppers of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is maintained at 6,400 - 6,600 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper price continues to be offered for sale at 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 239,547 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
Compared to the same period in 2025, the current price level has a certain similarity, reflecting a tightened global supply in the context that production in many countries has not increased commensurate with long-term demand. However, this high price level also causes many importers and processors to temporarily slow down purchases, waiting for a more stable market.
Analysts say the market is in a quiet phase as both sellers and buyers are not ready to make a price breakthrough.
