According to Lao Dong reporters, the coastal area of Tan Thanh block (Hoi An Tay ward) has been continuously threatened by big waves in recent days, many sections have eroded 25 - 30m deep, extending over 100m.

To cope with the risk of landslides, businesses and restaurants here have recently saved themselves by stacking sandbags to make temporary embankments to block waves and lay coconut fiber carpets, but this option is only temporary, unable to overcome the forces of nature.
