On the afternoon of October 28, in response to heavy rain causing flooding in many areas in Da Nang city, the Military Region 5 working group led by Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai - Commander of the Military Region - inspected and grasped the situation in wards and communes in Hoi An and Dien Ban areas.
Also participating were Colonel Tran Huu Ich - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command and leaders of local authorities.

In areas with deep flooding and rapidly rising water levels, Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai directly surveyed the level of impact and visited the living conditions of the people.
The Military Region Command requested the City Military Command to proactively coordinate closely with forces and organizations on duty 24/7 at vulnerable locations; deploy mobile rescue vehicles, be ready to promptly evacuate, and support people when required
Mr. Hai emphasized that the response work must set the highest goal of ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. Key units and militia forces need to stay close to the area, maintain smooth communication, and review areas at risk of landslides or prolonged deep flooding.
The city's armed forces officers and soldiers must always uphold their sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, and become a fulcrum for people to feel secure in overcoming floods.

At Dien Ban General Hospital, where many households are being evacuated to avoid deep flooding, Colonel Tran Huu Ich - Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command - directly visited, encouraged and presented 1,400 meals, bread, and drinking water to support people to overcome the difficult period.
The Commander directed the Standing Forces and militia of wards and communes to continue to closely coordinate with functional forces to maintain relief work, protect health, and care for people's lives during the complicated period of storms and floods.
