According to records on September 1st, prices of many essential goods at supermarkets and retail stores did not fluctuate much. Goods supply was maintained, while people's shopping activities were relatively stable.
At the supermarket system, prices of many groups of essential consumer goods continue to be listed stably. Items such as rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, instant noodles, milk and household goods did not record major fluctuations compared to before the holidays.

Notably, some retail systems still implement promotional programs for food, beverages and fast-moving consumer goods to stimulate shopping demand. Increasing the supply of goods and organizing promotional programs during holidays contributes to maintaining a relatively stable price level.
According to reporters' records, supermarkets such as WinMart, AEON Vietnam... are flooded with goods and a series of attractive promotions to serve customers. Accordingly, on September 1-2, Aeon Vietnam implemented a program to exchange invoices and receive vouchers of 100,000 VND.

Or at MM Mega Market Vietnam, there is a September 2nd program taking place from August 27th to September 9th with discounts of up to 50% for 1,000 items, from consumer goods, fresh food to pure Vietnamese specialties.
According to representatives of MM Mega Market Vietnam, during this year's holiday, purchasing power is forecast to increase, so businesses have proactively prepared abundant sources of goods, an increase of about 15% compared to the same period last year. In addition to incentive programs, MM Mega Market also closely coordinates with partners to maintain stable prices for essential items, while tightening the quality control of fresh food, helping customers completely feel secure in enjoying a complete holiday season.
Similarly, WinCommerce also implements promotions and incentives on many essential commodity groups. From August 20 to September 2, the WinMart system organizes the program "Celebrating National Day, bustling deal hunting" with many incentives focusing on essential goods, food, drinks, cosmetics...

According to WinCommerce representatives, to be proactive in supply sources, the business has developed a plan to supply goods and coordinated with suppliers from 2 months before the holidays, based on purchasing power forecasts by region.
The system proactively coordinates with major suppliers, production units, cooperatives... to ensure goods from source and maintain stable prices. Along with increasing reserves, the system monitors sales and inventory to supplement goods in a timely manner, while regulating goods between stores and distribution centers.
To serve consumer demand during the September 2nd holiday, the WinMart system has proactively prepared supply sources, coordinated with suppliers to plan output, delivery schedules and plans to supplement goods during peak times. For some essential commodity groups such as fresh food, the expected supply of goods will increase by 130 - 200% compared to normal days," a business representative shared.
According to records, shopping demand on September 1st mainly focused on fresh food, beverages and household products. However, purchasing power did not increase sharply and did not create significant pressure on selling prices.
Ms. Vu Thanh Quyen (Cau Giay, Hanoi) said that during the holiday, her family did not return to their hometown, so she took advantage of the holiday to buy some more food and essential items for her family to use in the coming days. According to Ms. Quyen, the prices of goods at the points of sale in general did not fluctuate much compared to previous days.
On holidays, I take advantage of going to buy more meat, fish, green vegetables, eggs and some household necessities. Before going to buy, I also thought that during the holidays, the prices of some items might increase due to higher consumer demand, but in fact today the prices are quite stable, there are not many changes," Ms. Quyen said.
According to Ms. Huong, the source of goods at points of sale is quite abundant, people can easily choose items that suit their needs. Her family mainly buys quantities just enough to use for a few days, and at the same time takes advantage of choosing products that are being discounted at supermarkets.
