Not only do men busy choosing flowers and gifts, many women also directly choose flowers to give to women around them.
Nguyen Thi Tra My (Yen Nghia, Ha Dong) shared: "Today is a meaningful day for women, so I want to go directly to the flower shop, choose and send gifts to my high school teacher. I bought this bouquet of flowers for 300,000 VND, my shop often bought too many today, I had to queue up, sometimes I had to order in advance so I had to buy it elsewhere".
According to traders, the price of fresh flowers this year increased slightly due to the impact of two consecutive storms that caused a decrease in supply.
A trader who imported fresh flowers and many diverse gifts for sale on this road said: "This year's flowers are having a bad harvest, there are not many types of flowers, and the flooding is prolonged, so the price of imported flowers is also higher than previous years".
At the stores, the number of customers coming and going was bustling. Ms. Kim Anh, a flower wrapping employee, shared: "I can't count the bunches I've made since morning. This time the flower price is a little more expensive, customers order a lot so we have to work continuously, not in time to place as required".
According to the reporter's records, popular flower prices range from 100,000 - 200,000 VND/bunch, the most popular colors are pink, white, and blue. Many people choose to book in advance, but many people also line up to wait on the spot.
Not only flower shops, technology motorbike taxi drivers are also "running at full capacity" to deliver gifts on this special day. Mr. Le Gia Huy, a technology driver, said: "This morning I have delivered about 20 orders, mainly flowers and gifts from men for women, from flowers, cosmetics, ... Each delivery I only receive enough for each trip to ensure the flowers are not damaged".
