1 Minister, 2 Chairmen of the National Assembly's Committees receive new tasks

Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh and 2 Chairmen of the National Assembly's Committee were approved by the National Assembly to hold the position of members of the National Election Council.

On October 25, at the 10th Session, the National Assembly voted secretly to approve the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on members of the National Election Council; listened to the Ballot Counting Committee announce the results of the vote counting.

The National Assembly listened to Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh present the draft Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on members of the National Election Council for Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Nguyen Huu Dong, and Le Quang Manh.

After that, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on members of the National Election Council in electronic form.

As a result, 429 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 90.51% of the total number of National Assembly deputies); of which, 429 delegates approved (equal to 90.51% of the total number of National Assembly deputies, equal to 100% of the total number of National Assembly deputies present).

The 3 members of the National Election Council approved include: Mr. Le Quang Manh - Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office; Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Minister of Home Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong - Chairman of the National Assembly Delegation Affairs Committee.

Previously, at the afternoon session of October 24, the National Assembly voted to approve the Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on the dismissal of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai and Mr. Le Quang Tung from the position of members of the National Election Council.

With the newly completed personnel, the National Election Council has 19 members. The Chairman of the National Election Council is Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

4 Vice Chairmen of the National Election Council, including: Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh (Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Election Council, concurrently Head of the Personnel Subcommittee); Member of the Politburo, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.

14 members of the National Election Council, including: Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Inspection Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia; Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang;

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh (and Head of the Subcommittee on Legal Documents and Complaints and Denunciations settlement); Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai (and Head of the Information and Propaganda Subcommittee); Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong (and Head of the Subcommittee on ensuring security, order and social safety); Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh;

Chairman of the National Assembly's Delegation Work Committee Nguyen Huu Dong; Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh; Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council Lam Van Man; Chairman of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen; First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Bui Quang Huy.
