The National Assembly finalizes the addition of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term

The National Assembly resolved to add a Deputy Prime Minister for the 15th National Assembly term.

On October 24, at the 10th Session, the National Assembly held a separate meeting on personnel work under the direction of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

At the session, the National Assembly listened to the following contents:

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented a report on adding the number of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th National Assembly term and a proposal to the National Assembly to approve the dismissal of a number of Ministers for the 2021-2026 term.

Chairman of the Delegation Work Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai presented a report on the review of the addition of Deputy Prime Ministers to the 15th National Assembly term.

The National Assembly met in the hall to listen to Chairman of the Delegation Work Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai present a report summarizing the opinions of National Assembly deputies discussed at the Youth Union on adding the number of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th National Assembly term.

The National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution to add the number of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th National Assembly term by electronic voting.

As a result, 434 delegates participated in voting (equal to 91.56% of the total number of National Assembly deputies); of which, 430 delegates approved (equal to 90.72% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), 2 delegates disagreed (equal to 0.42% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), and 2 delegates did not vote (equal to 0.42% of the total number of National Assembly deputies).

With this improvement, the current Government leadership will have additional members.

Currently, the Government leadership includes Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and 7 Deputy Prime Ministers.

The 7 current Deputy Prime Ministers include Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh (Standing Deputy Prime Minister of the Government), Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Ho Duc Phoc, Bui Thanh Son, Nguyen Chi Dung, Mai Van Chinh.
