On August 22, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 1798/QD-TTg appointing Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army to hold the position of Deputy Minister of National Defense.
The decision takes effect from August 22, 2025.
Brigade 249 is awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces
President Luong Cuong has decided to confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to Brigade 249 (Engineering Corps) for its outstanding achievements in training, combat readiness, building the People's Army, strengthening national defense, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
Brigade 249 is the unit that operates the pontoon bridge and military ferry to ensure traffic at Phong Chau wharf (Phu Tho province) from September 2024 to present.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 1789/QD-TTg dated August 20, 2025 appointing Colonel Nguyen Tan Linh - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 7 to hold the position of Deputy Commander of Military Region 7.
The decision takes effect from August 20, 2025.

On August 18-19, the Party Committee of Corporation 319 held the 12th Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
At the congress, delegates elected the Executive Committee of the 319 Corporation Party Committee, consisting of 15 personnel. Colonel Phan Phu was elected to hold the position of Party Secretary and Chairman of Corporation 319.
