Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 2458/QD-TTg appointing Major General Vu Trung Kien - Deputy Commander of the Law of the Vietnam Coast Guard - to hold the position of Commander of the Border Guard.
Major General Vu Trung Kien has also just been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General by the President.
Before being appointed as Commander of the Border Guard, Mr. Vu Trung Kien held the position of Director of the Border Guard Investigation Department. In October 2021, he was transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Commander of the Law of the Vietnam Coast Guard.
