Implementing the reward consideration process prescribed in Clause 2, Article 44 of Decree No. 152/2025/ND-CP dated June 14, 2025 of the Government on decentralization and delegation of authority in the field of emulation and reward; detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Commendation, the Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal on August 20 publicly posted a list of 7 groups and 2 individuals proposed by agencies and units to be conferred the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to collect opinions from organizations and individuals.
The specific list is as follows:
1. Heroes of the People's Armed Forces in the renovation period (7 groups)
- Special Forces;
- Corps;
- Department of Military Training - Schools, General Staff;
- Department of Rescue - Relief, General Staff;
- Division 316, Military Region 2;
- Brigade 23, Military Region 7;
- Viettel High-Tech Industrial Corporation, Military Industry - Telecommunications Group.
2. Hero of the People's Armed Forces during the resistance war against the US, saving the country (2 individuals)
- Lieutenant General Huynh Tien Phong, former Commander of Military Region 9;
- Lieutenant General Luu Phuoc Luong, former Deputy Commander of Politics of Military Region 9.
The time for collecting opinions is from August 20 to September 4, 2025.
