On September 25, Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to inform about the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
The congress is scheduled to take place on October 2 and 3 at the Provincial Convention Center, with the participation of 500 official delegates, representing more than 152,000 party members in the entire Party Committee, and about 300 guests.
The Congress will discuss and decide on many important contents, including 31 main targets on economy, culture - society, environment, national defense - security, and Party building. Performing 6 key tasks, three strategic breakthroughs.
The Congress identified the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; promoting the strength of great solidarity, revolutionary tradition and cultural identity; ensuring national defense and security; promoting innovation and breakthroughs, making Vinh Long develop rapidly and sustainably in the new era".
The motto of action is: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development".
Regarding personnel work, based on Directive 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo and regulations and instructions of the Central Committee, this Congress will not elect the City Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and the Delegation attending the 14th National Congress. The assignment and appointment of personnel is under the authority of the Politburo and the Secretariat and will be announced at the Congress.
